ABOUT SHARP SUPPLY

Sharp Supply was founded from my 20 years in professional kitchens, a lifelong passion for Japanese knives, and a deep respect for the craftsmen behind them.

My journey with Japanese knives began the day I qualified as a chef. Fresh out of my apprenticeship, I bought my first proper knife a Masakage Kumo Gyuto in VG10 steel. The moment I held it, everything changed. The balance, the sharpness, the craftsmanship it wasn’t just a tool, it was something special.

I still remember standing in the shop for hours, studying every blade, every profile, and every finish. That curiosity never left. Over the years, as my career progressed, so did my collection. Each knife told a story of the blacksmith who forged it, the sharpener who refined it, and the generations of knowledge behind every cut.

Sharp Supply was created to give back.

As a chef, these knives supported my career, helped me grow, and became true extensions of my hands in the kitchen. This shop exists to celebrate the artisans the blacksmiths, sharpeners, and makers whose work often goes unseen and to help support them by sharing their craft with chefs and home cooks alike.

Today, I’m also a proud dad to a family of four, and Sharp Supply reflects the same values I carry into both family and work: honesty, quality, and respect for tradition.
