Refund policy
At Sharp Supply, we are proud to offer carefully handcrafted, high-quality products. As a small business, we are committed to exceptional customer service while also safeguarding the integrity of our craftsmanship.
Please review the following policy before making a purchase. By placing an order with Sharp Supply, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Change of Mind Returns
Sharp Supply does not offer refunds for change-of-mind purchases. However, we may offer a store credit provided that:
- You contact us within 14 days of receiving your order, and
- The item is unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition
If a returned item does not meet these conditions, the return may be rejected or a fee deducted from the store credit at the discretion of Sharp Supply.
Shipping costs, shipping cover, and any itemised duties or taxes paid to local authorities are non-refundable.
Store credits:
- Do not expire
- May be used on any future purchase
If more than 14 days have passed since delivery Sharp Supply cannot offer a refund or store credit under any circumstances.
To request a store credit, please email benjamin@sharpsupply.com.au with your order number and reason for return.
2. Craftsmanship & Natural Variations
All Sharp Supply knives are handcrafted. As such, minor variations are a normal and valued part of the process. These may include:
- Slight differences in size, finish, handle shape, or blade characteristics
- Knives are supplied with a factory edge, allowing customers to sharpen to personal preference
These characteristics are not considered defects. Refunds will not be issued for variations consistent with artisanal production. In select cases, a store credit or exchange may be offered at our discretion.
3. Warranty Claims & Faults
If you believe your item is faulty, damaged upon arrival, or not functioning as intended, please contact benjamin@sharpsupply.com.au within 14 days of receiving your order.
Valid claims may result in:
- A repair
- A replacement
- A refund
Claims must include clear photographs and your order number. Warranty coverage does not apply to misuse or failure to follow care instructions.
4. Damage During Use & Repairs
If your knife becomes chipped or damaged during use, Sharp Supply may be able to assist. Please email benjamin@sharpsupply.com.au with photos and a description of how the damage occurred.
- Major repairs may incur a fee, quoted in advance
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs
5. Knife Care Responsibilities
Many Sharp Supply knives, particularly those made from high-carbon steel, require careful maintenance to prevent rust or patina.
Care instructions are provided:
- In product descriptions
- Inside your package via QR code to our website
Sharp Supply is not responsible for damage caused by:
- Failure to clean and dry knives correctly
- Improper storage
- Use on bones, frozen foods, or hard surfaces
Refunds, exchanges, or store credit will not be issued for misuse or natural patina/rust development.
6. Shipping Damage
If your item appears damaged during transit, please contact benjamin@sharpsupply.com.au within 48 hours of delivery, including photos of the packaging and product.
7. Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled prior to shipment by contacting benjamin@sharpsupply.com.au
Approved cancellations will be refunded minus a 2% payment processing fee.
Once an order has shipped or been delivered, the standard Returns Policy applies.
8. Refunds (If Approved)
Returned items are inspected within 1–2 business days of receipt. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method, minus a 2% processing fee.
Shipping costs, shipping cover, and duties/taxes are non-refundable unless the return is due to a Sharp Supply error or approved warranty claim.
Sharp Supply reserves the right to refuse refunds if:
- Items are returned used or damaged
- Claims fall outside this policy
- Requests are abusive or unreasonable
9. Return Shipping Costs
For returns not related to warranty or shipping damage:
- Customers are responsible for return shipping
- Return details will be provided once approved
